I was absolutely blown away by how much we learned in such a short time. As a teacher I recognized the skill and effectiveness of Jordash’s teaching style and lesson planning which became more and more apparent as time went by and we were seamlessly eased into new ideas and concepts. Jordash made use of all learning styles and was obviously passionate about the subject matter and this made learning fun and almost effortless.

The immersion environment meant that we were actually having theological discussions IN GREEK, making jokes IN GREEK, we even discussed the meaning of some Hebrew IN GREEK.

I found Jordash’s in depth knowledge of scripture very inspiring.  He taught me to be more aware of the links between the Old Testament and the New Testament, and to recognize when Jesus Master-fully echoes the Old Testament in thought, word, and deed. Reading the New Testament in its original language has forced me to slow down and take note of every word, to approach each story with fresh eyes and ears.  

This has been by far the most enjoyable learning experience I have had in a very long time.

You should take this course! I spent the fall of 2018 in Victoria, BC, learning beginner's Greek with ΟΜΙΛΕΙΝ and absolutely loved it. When I heard about and experienced a sample of the immersive approach, I was excited enough to enrol my 9 year old daughter in the class as well. Together we enjoyed the videos, homework assignments, and songs. The videos were very accessible and kept us laughing and engaged. Class time was a joy as Jordash's enthusiasm and obvious delight in the material was infectious. I was originally a bit nervous that being spoken to only in Greek would be inaccessible, but Jordash's use of props, contextualization, and repetition made it very effective. It was also clear he cared about each student, in their Greek learning, application of that learning to understanding of God, and more. While I don't speak Greek everyday, my time in ΟΜΙΛΕΙΝ helped me to feel more connected to the text of Scripture and to God's heart by learning the nuances of the words in those Scriptures.

…What stood out to me most was how fun and entertaining things were set up to be. Classes had exercises where we moved around and interacted rather than take notes. It helped that Jordash is a patient and encouraging teacher. He created a space where being wrong was okay, and where we all helped each other become better. 

The course also had a homework component for us to do throughout the week. The homework exercises helped to reenforce what we learned in our past session, and also gave us some new things to learn… the videos were both instructional and fun. 

…the amount of Greek that I learned surprised me, but the biggest thing was how much it helped me to understand the Bible… this is by far the best language course I have ever taken. If you want to learn Greek, this is the way to go. The course is fun and packed full of learning. Jordash is knowledgeable, easy to get along with, and a patient teacher. What more could you want.
