This includes leaders, but, just as much, regular people in the church, including children.

The joy that we have experienced in learning about the God of heaven and earth through reading the scriptures in its original languages is contagious. We want to share that joy with others. That is why this company exists. Learning to read the New Testament in Greek is as exciting and life-changing as a journey to a foreign land that you’ve always dreamed of visiting. Many people experience a significant change in perspective and enrichment in their reading of the Bible after journeying to the lands of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and Greece. This picture is of Caesaria – Καισάρεια – in Israel, the city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea where Paul was held in prison for two years. (The palace in the foreground is probably where he gave his defence.) Come learn Koine Greek with us and discover the thought world and inspiration permeating the New Testament! We will take you back into an ancient world, through the journey of language, so you can understand and more deeply appreciate New Testament writings, such as Paul’s letter and, while we’re here, the defence speech that he made in the city of Caesaria, too.

Helping others open the scrolls

The basis of the Christian faith is God’s revelation to the world through Moses, the Jewish prophets and, especially, through Jesus, who his followers take to be God’s Messiah. The precious writings that describe who Jesus is — the core of the New Testament — are a magnificent treasure. So too are the New Testament letters and other texts that find their inspiration in Messiah Jesus. Each of these texts would originally have circulated as a single scroll. As an outcome of historical developments, all of the earliest Christian documents that have come down to us are written in Greek! Why not read the New Testament texts in their original language? Our passion is to help Christians — all Christians — open up these ancient scrolls for themselves, in their original language, so they can get the best appreciation of Jesus possible.

Nurturing deep roots

Psalm 1 describes the person who meditates on God’s word as a tree situated right on the source of life-giving water. Meditating on the scriptures requires understanding the nuances of what is written. This deeper form of understanding is truly available to those who invest the time and effort to read a scriptural text in the language it was written in. In the land of Israel, even in the middle of the wilderness one can see date palms growing (like those in the picture above), whenever there is a perennial source of water, as, for example, at En Gedi. Our passion in teaching Koine Greek and developing learning materials is to help others grow their roots deep and to be firmly planted, drinking continually and profoundly from the source, throughout their lives. We especially delight in helping children and teenagers sink their roots deep at an early age.
