This is where we start. This course will bring your passive knowledge of Koine Greek (however deeply buried inside you) to life! You will begin to get an “insider” feel for the language, as you read lines out of the Scriptures.

Pre-requisite

You have had one year or more of Greek in seminary (or college or university), using a traditional (grammar-translation) approach.

Content

You’ve never experienced Greek like this before – it is alive, interactive… and you understand it! ' The cases are not longer a chore – they make sense – because you are no longer focussed on abstract theories, but on concrete interaction, in Greek, with others. And you’re having fun while you’re at it!

By the course’s end, you will be able to:

• respond appropriately to basic commands

• command others to perform actions

• answer comprehension questions about pictures and mini stories

• describe people, places and objects in your own words

• ask basic questions of others

• speak Greek in prayer to God

We meet weekly, for a two-hour session. Six weeks (12 hours of live instruction).
